BANKING DESIGNED FOR JEFFERSON STUDENTS

Money Management. Right From The Start.

We are very excited to continue the Jefferson Elementary Banking Program through First New York Credit Union this year! This program teaches students the basics of how to handle their money. Students can participate every Thursday morning at 8:30 until 9:15 am outside of the PTO office at Jefferson. There are a few pieces of information that we would like you to know. Read on to find out more!

HOW TO JOIN THE BANKING PROGRAM

WHO CAN SIGN UP?

Any student in Kindergarten – 4th grade can sign up for the program.

HOW DO WE SIGN UP?

Head over to the First New York Kids Banking website to read more and enroll your child by opening their account. Applications take 1 week to process.

WHEN AND WHERE DOES BANKING AT JEFFERSON HAPPEN?

School banking is held every Thursday morning at 8:45 am until 9:15 am at a table outside of the PTO office.

Kindergarteners can bring their deposits to their teacher.

WE'VE ENROLLED AT THE BANK. NOW WHAT?

You may send your initial deposit in a regular envelope with your student’s first name, last name, account number, grade, school name, and deposit amount. We will distribute deposit envelopes to you for future use. Please avoid sending in a deposit until you have an account number if you have recently applied to open an account with First New York.

WANT TO HELP OUT WITH SCHOOL BANKING?
Volunteer to help one or more mornings!

CHAIR: SHANNON KARL

Together with Shannon, you will help the kids with their deposits, distribute receipts, collect Kindergarten deposits, hand out prizes, and more! If you are volunteering, your children are allowed to come early with you into the school until they have to go to class.
